Steak sandwich with Birch & Waite Caramelised Onions, rocket, cheddar cheese and rich Birch & Waite Whole Egg Mayonnaise

Aussie Steak Sandwich

  • 30g Birch & Waite Whole Egg Mayonnaise
  • 30g Birch & Waite Garlic Aioli
  • 50g Birch & Waite Caramelised Onion
  • 120g Scotch Fillet Steak
  • 20g Rocket Leaves
  • 30g Cheddar Cheese, sliced
  • 2 slices Bread
  • 50g Cherry Tomatoes, cut into wedges or sliced
  • 2g Flat Leaf Parsley

Method

  1. Season and pan sear the scotch fillet medium rare – let rest.
  2. Toast bread if desired
  3. Spread bread with Birch & Waite Whole egg Mayonnaise
  4. Place rocket, cheese slice, steak and Birch & Waite Aioli Garlic Mayonnaise and Birch & Waite Caramelised Onion on bread
  5. Top with tomato wedges or slices and garnish with parsley. Serve with the top piece of bread secured with a skewer

Chef's Tip

Use your favourite bread, Sourdough or Turkish to personalise your Aussie steak Sandwich. Serve with chips and/or a fresh garden salad.
